These homemade donuts are a delightful treat for any occasion. They are light, fluffy, and coated with a sweet powdered sugar glaze. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating

Instructions:

Mix the flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt together in a mixing bowl

Mix the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl

Mixing until a dough forms, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients

Place the dough onto a surface dusted with flour, then roll it out to a thickness of about 1/2 inch

Cut the dough into the shape of donuts with a donut cutter

You can use a round cookie cutter and a smaller round cutter for the center if you dont have a donut cutter

In a deep pot or fryer, bring vegetable oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius

Using a slotted spoon or spatula, carefully drop the donuts into the heated oil

The donuts should be fried for one to two minutes on each side, or until golden brown

To get rid of extra oil, take the fried donuts out of the oil and drain them on paper towels

To ensure even coating, roll the donuts in powdered sugar while they are still warm

Warm up the freshly made doughnuts and enjoy
