Dosa Sandwich is a fusion recipe that combines the South Indian favorite, dosa, with a cheesy and flavorful filling. Its a perfect snack or breakfast option that is both crispy and satisfying.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of dosa batter
- 1/2 cup of grated cheese
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped vegetables bell peppers, onions, tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder optional
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
- 1/4 cup of green chutney
- 1/4 cup of tomato ketchup
Instructions:
Warm up a dosa tava griddle that doesnt stick over medium heat
Spread a small amount of dosa batter out thinly on the hot tawa to make a dosa
Spread out the red chili powder, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala, and a pinch of salt on the dosa
Put some grated cheese on top of one half of the dosa
A lot of finely chopped vegetables should be put on top of the cheese
To make a sandwich, fold the other half of the dosa over the filling
Place the dosa sandwich on a pan and add butter
Cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy
Grab the dosa sandwich off the tawa and cut it into triangle shapes
Put it on the table hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney
