Slow Cooker Honey Lime Salsa Verde Pork

Tender, juicy pork shoulder slow-cooked in a flavorful blend of salsa verde, honey, lime juice, and spices. Perfect for tacos, burritos, salads, or rice bowls

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish optional

Instructions:

Put honey, lime juice, garlic, onion, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a slow cooker

Add the salsa verde

Cover the pork shoulder with the salsa verde mixture and turn it over to coat it

Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 to 5 hours, until the pork is soft and can be shred with a fork

After the pork is done cooking, use two forks to shred it and mix it with the sauce in the slow cooker

If you want, you can serve it hot with fresh cilantro on top
